City Centre Parking

1. Park & Ride (Best overall value)

The most affordable option is Black Ash Park & Ride.

• €5 per day and price includes the shuttle bus into the city centre for all passengers.
• Bus stops include City Hall (near CSM), Merchant’s Quay, St. Patrick’s Street and Grand Parade (near to CCAD campuses).
• Around 920 parking spaces.
• Operates Monday–Saturday (closed Sundays and most bank holidays).

2. Q Park Student Discounted Cards – St Finbarr’s Carpark (CCAD Students)

There are a limited number of these cards. Please contact Daragh.Fitzgerald@q-park.ie using your student email account (i.e. @mymtu.ie).

The current discount on offer is:

Parking from 8am to 10pm – €7.00

24-hour Parking – €9.00

3. Q Park Student Discounted Cards – Carroll’s Quay (CSM Students)

3. Cork City Council car parks

Council-operated car parks are generally cheaper than many private city-centre car parks.

Options include North Main Street Car Park and Paul Street Car Park

Current council rates start at approximately:

• 1 hour: €3 – €3.50
• Evening flat rate from 6:30 pm to 9.30pm: North Main Street: €3.50
• Evening flat rate from 5pm to midnight:  Paul Street: €5

These are ideal if you only need to park for a few hours.

4. On-street Council Parking

If you can find a space:

• €2.50 per parking period in designated city-centre pay-and-display areas.

5. Private Car Parks

Privately run car parks can be very expensive (except for special offers under point 2 and 3 above).
