The management of the Students’ Union affairs is conducted on four levels: Referendum, General Meeting, Union Council and Union Executive. All Union meetings will be advertised.

Union Structure
This is the supreme decision making instrument of the Union – motions are put to a vote and all members are entitled to vote.
All members are entitled to attend General Meeting which take place twice per Semester and are held in person or online.
Attendance of these meetings is vital to the representational functionality of your Union
The Union Council is the representative body that determines the policy of the Union and mandates the Union Executive subject to the decision of Union General Meeting and Referenda. Union council meet at least three times per semester during the academic year. Union Council consists of the Union Executive and elected Class Reps.
The Union Executive is responsible for the initiation of policy of the Union subject to the approval of Union Council, General Meeting or a Referendum. It meets weekly.
There are three full-time and three part-time officers in MTU Cork Students’ Union.
